A New Creation
2 Corinthians 5:17…
Join me in welcoming our new brothers and sisters and Christ who are completing RCIA:
So whoever is in Christ is a new creation: the old things have passed away; behold, new things have come. -2 Corinthians 5:17, NAB
The purpose of this site, first and foremost, centers on those just entering the Church. Whether it encourages them to take the first step towards Catholicism, or it helps them grow once they’ve made the decision, my original goal has always been to help others in the RCIA process.
In parishes around the country, candidates and catechumen in the RCIA process are graduating, being confirmed, and getting welcomed into full communion with the Church. It is an exciting and momentous occasion for them, and I want to welcome them in.
With Christ in your life, you become a new creation. Your life will change forever. In the beginning, that may seem impossible, but as your faith continues to grow, you will notice how your life is going in directions you never expected.
Since I became Catholic, my life has changed dramatically. I feel closer to God than ever before, and my faith feels more grounded in the Truth. It has given me the courage to share my faith in whole new ways. A few years ago, I never would have imagined my life like this, but I am very grateful that it did.
My hope is that your journey will be similar. True, we will each have different journeys, but even though we may take different paths to our final destination, we share that final destination in common (and that’s all that really matters).
For those who are just entering (or recently entered) the Catholic faith, I want to say, “Welcome home!” After a long process to enter the Church, it may feel like the journey has ended, but in truth, it has really just begun.
