Faith is the Evidence
Believing in the Wind
Do you believe in the wind? You cannot touch it, grab it, or hold it in your hand. The wind is invisible to the eye. But, if we look at the trees blowing in the wind, we can see the effects of the wind. We cannot touch the wind, but we can feel it blow across our face. Faith, like the wind, is not something we can touch or see, but we can see and feel the effects that it has on our lives.
“Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and evidence of things not seen” – Hebrews 11:1 NAB
Many people struggle with believing in God. They cannot see Him, touch Him, or talk to Him directly. Only by faith can we believe in God. Through faith, we can see the ways He moves in our lives. Through faith, we can feel Him carry us through our struggles. Through faith, we can talk to Him through prayer.
God is real and can be seen through the works and deeds of Christians all over the world. As Catholics, and Christians, we must ensure that we are proving God’s existence by the way we live. Can those around you see God working in your life?
