1 Corinthians 10:13
Never More Than We Can Handle…
Trials are a part of life. Thankfully, the Lord will watch over us:
“No trial has come to you but what is human. God is faithful and will not let you be tried beyond your strength; but with the trial he will also provide a way out, so that you may be able to bear it. ” -1 Corinthians 10:13, NAB
Many of our trials are self-inflicted. By the choices we make, we put ourselves into positions that cause us to struggle. If we truly look back at where our trials began, we can always trace our steps to find the path that led us to them in the first place, and we can use that to avoid those same trials in the future. Unfortunately, no matter how hard we try, we will always lead ourselves back to one trial or another, but facing a trial is not a reason to lose hope. Instead, facing a trial is a time to grasp onto the hope that we have in our Lord Jesus.
Trials have a way of purifying our faith, and for that reason, God allows us to go through them. Yet, He will never allow us to face trials that are beyond what we can handle. There are times that our trials make us feel as if we are about to break, but just before that happens, He delivers us from them. Just when we think all hope is lost, Hope itself comes in to rescue us. When, not if, you face trials in the future, or if you are facing a trial right now, stand firm in your faith and trust in the Lord. Put of all your hope in Christ, and He will see you through.
